Play counts are live: public stats for every track

We just shipped public play counts for tracks on Moffer. It’s a small feature - a number on the page - but it changes how the whole site works.
What you get
- Every track shows its total plays, right on the track card and track page.
- Numbers are public. Artists see what’s landing, fans see what’s worth a listen, and curators can spot momentum instead of guessing.
- The data is real. Counts come from actual plays on Moffer - not a vanity metric we make up.
Why it matters
Spotify’s stats are locked behind Spotify for Artists, and they’re only about your music on their platform. Bandcamp barely shows plays at all. On Moffer, a track with 500 plays and one with 2 look different at a glance - so good music surfaces on its own merit.
For artists this is the start of a real stats story: plays are the first metric, and per-track breakdowns, listener locations, and time-based charts are on the way.
For fans and curators it’s a signal. A track that’s climbing is a track worth hearing before everyone else does.
